Christopher D'Arcy

This is now one of my all time favorite movies. I never saw the original cartoon version but I like this movie a lot. The casting was great, the setting looked great, and the music and everything else just worked so perfectly together. It was a really fun movie to watch and was a lot better than Disney's other live action remakes (so far). When the Genie used magic it felt like it belonged in that universe and the Genie as a character was great. I was skeptical from the trailer but Will Smith was really funny and was a perfect cast for the character. The only bad thing I can think of was the acting from Jaffar was sometimes a little corny. He didn't feel as intimidating or villainous as I expected but it still worked with the movie. I think it's worth watching and also because at the end Will Smith revives his rap career.
