The only thing which makes it really worth watching is the breathtakingly phenomenal performance of Swastika. It's like one can almost resonate to her character on an emotional level which is quite unlikely as you don't come across 'Kamalini' in your everyday life that often. It's funny bcoz the speculation was she's had played similar characters many times before and yet she manages to enliven 'Kamalini' with great uniqueness whereas all the first benchers, like Abir, Param to name a few just emerge as same-old-same-old.
Srijit, in all these years, has somehow lost his beautiful quirky narrative style. The movie lacks minuteness- you don't really expect a movie to turn out the way it did from someone who is outspokenly obsessed with detailing. The material really had a lot of potential but was conceived with mediocrity.
The songs are the soul of the movie. My favourite has been -" Bolona Radhika"( it's just I really loved the old version of "Rajkumarir Gaan")
