If you’ve followed Bo Burnham’s career since his YouTube days, you’ll understand why “Inside” is so special, yet so provocative. Here we have a talented star, who rose through the comedic ranks almost rapidly but because of the pressures that come with fame, talent and maintaining authenticity to their art form, it’s understandable why he (in a sense) disappeared. However, he’s shown us that he’s locked inside his home due to the stresses from COVID-19 and the only coping method he has is something he’s avoided for years. That pressure of wanting to make something beautiful but also constantly wonder if people will appreciate it gets to you. I hope Mr. Burnham knows his fans certainly admire his dedication and delivering a solid special.
