The cast and production is very high quality, as expected for a Netflix special. My only issue, it's kind of difficult to watch as a "white person", as it commonly misrepresents both races in some scenarios, and exaggerates a few points (which is to be expected, considering it is for entertainment).
All I could think about during the series was "what if there was a Dear Black People series", where it showcases a white students experience in a black dominated campus. With the animosity nowadays directed towards white people, I couldn't possibly imagine what harassment they would go through (both physical and mental). White students actually get removed from some "black schools" because they're such a big target for harassment.
Many narratives similar to this series commonly forget that there is animosity in both neighborhoods. We can't give either neighborhood an echo chamber/safe space, both sides need to realize their faults together if they want to break the cycle of hatred.
