I thought it was an intense film that gave a different perspective on violent change. The visuals and scope of emotions were commendable as well. Plan on watching again, something I don't usually do.

I'm a hardcore Dune fan and I really enjoyed the movie. It wasn't exactly like the book but the interpretation was fantastic. The environmental and air and space vehicles were impressive. (The ornithopters were my favorite, absolutely amazing digital visualizations.) The only things that bothered me were the lack of use of some titles like mentat and swordmaster. I was also disappointed with the lack of the dinner party scene. Despite these few criticisms, I thought this interpretation was well done.
