If I could give this "film" negative stars, I would. This is simply an exploitation of a woman who was discontent, neglected, and bullied at the hands of the royal family. Almost nothing was historically accurate, even her hair was wrong. Also, Althorp was never boarded up and her father was still alive in 1991. It is NOT hard to get OBVIOUS, historical FACTS correct. The pointless throwing in of a totally random LGBT+ storyline was extremely unnecessary. We don't need false narratives in order to "feel included". The entire movie was centered around the fact that she was bulimic, like that is all the producers/writer/director thinks she was: a woman with bulimia. Horrendous. Throwing in that this is supposed to be a "fable" does not make it any better. In this day and age, you would think that people would know what is and is not appropriate. Exploiting a woman who was murdered in a car accident over 20 years ago and her children for financial gain is low. This was, unfortunately, a severely missed and squandered opportunity.
