Ok first things first, the story is awful and I don't mean Curse of Osiris awful I mean vanilla D1 awful. It seems unfinished and downright cheesy and was a massive disappointment. So far though, everything else has been pretty good, the new subclass is great and super fun to use, the gameplay especially in the campaign is super fun, and the new destination is great. That being said, this is the first time I have ever actually considered a yearly Destiny DLC potentially not worth the money. The story absolutely killed the narrative of the game and will most certainly need to be patched up. I do believe that a vast majority of the negative reviews are people being hypercritical given all the hype though. If this DLC wasn't supposed to be THE DLC and had a release more in line with Shadowkeep or Warmind I could easily see the reviews jumping 20-30%. Definitely disappointed and I would wait until the raid and the dungeon release to see if this DLC is actually worth the 50 dollars.
