Watching this so long after it came out I was disappointed and confused. Did they love their wives because at times it seemed like they did. Also, the love between them didn’t seem that tender, almost just like a lustful obsession. I mean, how well did they really know each other? Jacks character just seemed very horny. The acting was amazing and the setting stunning but all in all I found their big love story disappointing.

Capitalising on real life trauma, not cool. I did not like Jake’s over-acting here. A shame, coz generally I love him.

Realistic, convincing, fascinating and horrifying - a very well acted and intriguing insight into a bygone era. Not for the faint hearted.

Pure love for this. Shia is amazing.
