I've read the books; I was well aware that Jamie was not going to die in Season 5 Ep 9. However, Sam Heughan had me absolutely hooked and I almost succumbed to hyperventilation by the end of the hour. I also DO NOT CRY when actors are doing their thing, but the script for this episode and the way Sam had everyone acting off his skilled performance, shone through in Sophie Skelton and Richard Rankin - Caitriona Balfe always fits with Sam like a hand in a glove..... and so... there was blubbing involved. As usual, the fabulous pairing of Sam and Caitriona (Jamie and Claire) - together make the show, and lift the acting chops of those around them *****
