An absolute gold of a movie, it's making looks highly inspired by the samurai movies of Kurosawa. The local dialect of Kannada and the culture are depicted really well. A must watch for any movie buff. Riveting cinematography and camera movement looks fresh even after all these years. The performances are top notch. The music sets the mood and yet is not overbearing but subtle.

One of the best gangster flicks Indian cinema has to offer, it's unique narration style and simple yet effective screenplay has you hooked onto it. It has a varied and unexplored genre on offer to the Indian audience, a very thoughtful script and a good mix of actors add's to it's positives.
