Words fail me at the extremely tight script, the clean storyline, the taut emotions from the first frame to the last. This story should be taught in film schools for how to make episodic stories. The actors are all very good and we have come to expect a high level of professionalism from the Turkish industry, but the crowning glory of this drama is Kivanc Tatlitug. I never loved him in his other outings esp Forbidden Love, but the Kivanc here we see is some other level. Beautifully capturing the hurt man who has lost his father to a murderer, he brings a whole new dimension to his portrayal. He is charming as the lover, who hesitates to express his emotions to the daughter of his enemy, yet cant keep away. His best act is with his mother, a terribly sweet and touching portrayal of a son who tenderly takes care of his mother who is suffering Alzheimer disease. In fact Tatlitug brings a rare beauty to his entire act, never a false step. Bravo.
The female lead is unable to match up to the intensity of Kivanc. She is slightly wooden and the romance falters because of her lack of intensity. She is not expressive enough to portray the beauty of this tortured love story and someone like Birce Akalay might have done greater justice to the role.
Other than this the drama is a must-watch. Full marks to the script writer, the camera man, the music composer and fullest marks to Kivanc Tatlitug for this amazingly layered tortured saga of revenge and love
