The Campfire Headphase is a departure from the dystopian style beats of previous years work. Boards Of Canada set out to create a different type of album this time around, reinventing their signature sound by incorporating sample of guitars which are then pitch shifted to create this Lo-Fi sound. Personally, this is my favorite Boards Of Canada Album. It's not as dark as their other work but makes up for that in its brilliant songwriting. To me, this is Boards Of Canada at their most mature. As the title suggests, this albums sounds like a reflection of a person's life while sitting at a warm, cozy, campfire.
