Great game! Visually stunning! I really enjoyed the story. in PT 1 we met Joel a character whose life was changed when the infected attack and a soldier opens fire on him and his daughter. The severed bond and loss of his daughter leave an inconsolable hole. Joel trying to live a completely different life as a smuggler gets the task to smuggle/deliver Ellie across the country. On their journey, the two develop a bond and Joel finally learns to let go of his former life rather than run from reality. However despite the breakthrough, Joels new bond is threatened when he learns he might lose Ellie to save humanity. He makes the decision to save her by unleashing/dealing the same sort of treatment him and his daughter received. Moving into PART 2 of TLOUS, we learn about that there are repercussions to taking someone's life for everyone. Both Joel and Ellie are progressing in to new chapters of their lives. Joel has reclaimed some of his humanity. Ellie has the hole in her heart because she felt her life had meaning that Joel took away when he saved her from captivity of fire flies. It reminded me a little bit of Naruto pain saga and the whole ending of the cycle of hatred. Ellie similar to Joel in PT1 has to learn a life lesson. The game was very well done! It felt very similar but different. Ellie being a Lesbian and showing the apple does fall from the tree(Joel). A completely jacked female as the antognist with a just reason to pursuit Ellie. Both characters trying to be different but are doing the same. This is my impression finishing it 5 mins ago.
