This is surprisingly good. Found it buried with the B grades on Amazon Prime. Non stop action, the solider characters were all very convincing, good combination of CGI and practical effects, even the gun firing looks real. The shooting combat scenes are done really well and the hand to hand fighting was very well choreographed, the actors really knew what they were doing so it was convincing. Really recommend this one, better than many of the big budget shoot em ups i've seen lately.

I remember the advertising made it seem like a comedy. The first 30 minutes sets it up, the next 30 I'm waiting for some humour and then it turns into a drama about not being able to run from your problems with a dose of there's always less fortunate people than you. Then the last 30 is preaching climate change has been proven irreversible and human civilisation is destined to end. Movie over. It's a Sci Fi drama with no conclusion and it definitely does not have you wanting more.

Excellent action film, don't see many filmed in South Asian cities, very educational to see how the people live. Hemsworth leads an excellent cast as a very flawed mercenary with a heart. The fight scenes with long camera shots without scene cuts is excellent. My only criticism is the ridiculously high body count, probably more that "hot shots part 2", no one who kills that many police and army personnel will be allowed to just go home afterward. Definitely worthy of a franchise.

A bit "Behind enemy lines", a bit "Tears of the Sun", a bit "Lone survivor". A French special forces rescue mission against the Taliban. Well acted, excellent visual effects, fast paced, lots of action. Light on for script so not too many subtitles to read, this is a well made modern war film on par with a Hollywood film, well worth a look.
