Revoltingly bad. Weak story, washes over the mess the Soviets made and decides to make up characters for a terrible love story than use one of the many, many real ife accounts. This is the the complete opposite to the incredible HBO series.

1* (and thats being kind) A terrible B movie that made its money from being the first "big" 3D movie. Terrible plot and outside of its 3D gimmick woeful CGI. If it wasnt for the 3D this would be laughed out of town if shown on the sci-fi channel on a wet Tuesday afternoon in October. Truth is there are no die hard Avatar fans. No one quotes it EVER. It became (now former) highest grossing film through a now dated gimmick. It looks (and has the plot) of a bad PC game circa 1995. The sequels? Dont make me laugh! 2 cinema and dies, 3 struggles and the next few (if they still bother) premiering on The Hallmark channel at 9am on a Monday morning where no one will care (and rightly so) James Cameron hang your head in shame.
