One star only because I’m not allowed to give zeros. This disaster of a show should never ever have been given a season 2 let alone a season 3. Nelly is probably the most unlikeable character ever to star and the entire show is so full of plot holes and continuity mistakes you could fly a 747 through them. The entire murder scene makes no sense whatsoever and is just one tiny example of the worst writing I’ve ever seen filmed. How in the hell it gets good ratings is simply beyond me. Nelly makes everything so damn complicated and seriously of the entire stupid crew not until the very end of one of the last episodes does someone actually call the police. Utter and complete garbage that MIGHT have been watchable had someone thought to hire a GD continuity inspector. Truly disgraceful that this shows as 100% on rotten tomatoes but I’m pretty sure that’s proof rotten tomatoes is a manipulatable organization. Either that or there are WAY more people out there who haven’t a clue what makes for decent television. Because save me surely isn’t it.

Absolutely awful. Apple ought to be charged with false advertising given the name kind of implied this movie would be about WWII in London. Instead, for some strange and only explicable given 2024 sensibilities the entire f**king movie turned into a long and not at all believable screed about race and racism. All I wanted was a kid on an adventure during the war. What I got was terrible acting, bad writing, and a totally ridiculous hidden social justice lecture. Thanks Apple. Not only do your phones suck but so does your choice of what kind of movies to make.

Seriously one of the worst things I’ve tried to watch in many years. From the endless and ridiculous dream sequence at the end, to the terrible writing (why again would someone disposing of a dead body climb a FOUNTAIN to do it instead of just using the lake readily available?) to the endless proselytizing about what? How hard it was to be Jewish? Black? Irish? I’d totally lost track by the end. Not to mention the final nail in the coffin: the directors literally nonstop inability to focus on ANYTHING other than Nathalie Portman. Perhaps for some guys this would work as porn. For most people it doesn’t work at all.

Good lord who is leaving all these good reviews? A) this is just ANOTHER slave movie, B) the writing is terrible and C) the acting might be worse than the writing. Don’t waste your time it’s 2 hours and 15 minutes you’ll never get back and no it doesn’t get any better towards the end. What a waste of a pretty decent actor.

Terrible acting. Amateurish plot. Characters nobody really cares about. And no real understanding of the complicated Israel-Iran relationship. All in all a waste of 8 plus hours. Not worth even the 1 star I gave it.

Absolutely unwatchable. A terrible rerun of a common trope that’s been covered already by dozens of films. Skip it.

A slog at best. Unwatchable at worst. Just a never ending stream of miserable people in miserable situations none of whom even like each other much. A waste of 2 hours.

Quite possibly the worst movie I’ve ever seen. And no I’m not kidding. Negative 5 stars if that’s possible.

A superb film based on a fabulous book. The simple but taut story is a parable about the dangers of imperialism and colonization. It could be set anywhere and in almost any time although it looks vaguely like Northern Africa or perhaps the Middle East. Either way the cinematography is top shelf, the landscapes starkly beautiful & the set design is some of the most spectacular of recent memory. A terrific watch.
