The game is great. It’s prolly one of the best games ever. I’m new to the fromsoft series but I don’t think that stopped me from having a good time.
I, like many people who complain, died a lot at the start. It’s not like most games that you just hit a button and you stand there taking damage, but you win anyways. You actually have to dodge in this one.
Lots of people complain that you waste too much time learning fights… I’m about 70 percent through and by the time you get here, you learn that you simply can just roll out of any attack before impact. Anyone that complains that they don’t have time to learn the fight is just upset they don’t have basic video game reactions…
Yeah, casual Mario players won’t be able to pass it, but that’s fine, it’s not for everyone. It’s for gamers tired of the same thing and wanting a challenge.
At times I’m lost in the world doing side quest of just adventuring an area to complete it and tell myself, how many hours have I put in this game? But unlike other games where you put in so many hours and just feel sick of it until you pass it, elden ring doesn’t give you that bitter taste. I’m enjoying just playing.
I do have one complaint, and maybe it’s because I’m an old school JRPG player at heart. The story is confusing and sometimes just not explained at all. I get it, you have to find hints and piece them together, but unless you go through certain paths, in a game where you aren’t lead anywhere, you can easily miss the storyline. There’s been countless times I kill someone and am like, who is this? Why am I fighting them? Did someone mention this person before?
Top 5 fav games of all time.
