When I first saw this movie in the theater I had NEVER laughed so hard! Mel Brooks was able to create a film that touched on many subjects: good vs. evil, substance abuse, corruption, politics, racism, etc. and the audience didn't even realize it while watching because it was too busy laughing! Weaving the film between the old west and modern Hollywood was brilliant! I think it was the first time I EVER saw an actor talk to the audience. A true classic where no race, class, subject or social status was left unscathed. Put six hours aside to watch this film because you will want to see it twice (at least)!
