Dixie Lauderdale

I’m extremely disappointed in this show, I understand it is not feasible to include every detail from the books into a visual format. However, to completely change the plot line and makeup of the characters in such a grotesque way in order to fit the studio’s narrative is inexcusable. I am not usually one to compare the books and cinema versions but Cassandra Clare’s masterpiece was forsaken so much so that it is completely unforgivable. As for the characters, I had high hopes for the cast. I am not sure if it was the writing or the actors that completely butchered the fundamental makeup of these beloved characters. Overall, I am completely disappointed and I wish they would’ve just left the series to the pages of the books.
