I like my fellow countryman Colin Murray presenting Countdown but will he please let the contestants get to the end without telling them they will not win, especially with 3 or 4 rounds to go and then he congratulates the other contestant as the winner. I believe it is so deflating for the contestant it is their game, their time, their experience and to tell them with 3-4 rounds to go that they will not win is so deflating. I believe he should not refer to the prominent contestant as ‘champ’ as we are aware who is ahead and how many games they have previously won. I have watched the quarter and semi finals of this current series and I felt that he should let the game flow to the end as the contestant needs to be involved to the end of the game. It is a few niggles I have but I do enjoy him presenting the show and undertaking the rounds himself. He is good with the contestants and has a good rapport with them and all on the show but please let the contestant get to the end with pride. It is their day after all.

I am tired of the writers sneaking in their double meanings, their sleazy comments and giving the actors and actresses ‘words’ that demean their intelligence. If the writers want to live in a select utopia among their own kind that is their perogrative but please do not bring one of the oldest British programmes down with their slimy minds. Recently the jibes and pseudonyms have got worse but this is not a new ‘habit’. I still remember Owen’s teabag phallic masterpiece. How he was never distracted or forgot his lines is a mystery. The viewers are not prudes but do not bring us into your ‘double meaning’ games. Coronation Street is better than that.

Enjoyed the series. DC Bradshaw did nothing to alleviate racism and as a black man lived as if he was white by helping the cover up even though he thought he was giving the young female cop Lizzie a police career. The Asian P.C.done exactly the same and the young principal police officer was a jumped up whippet who dows nothing but makes your days work harder.. Shaw a disgrace to his uniform. Lot of unanswered questions left, eg, Shaws wife having phone but overall a good effort

Very entangled, through other series which shifts from one story, plot and twist. The series recoils from one character to the other, from one year to the next with the background threat of the supernatural, eg, Rob and the flickering light and when he fell of the bed and sauntered into the shower he nearly was the shape of the wolf he feared. Too much thinking and too much hard work in trying to concentrate and if it's too hard to focus on the programme it is failing. The students were a distraction with their sinister leader and his overtones. I just watched to see what happened to the children and I am still none the wiser. Be muzzled and bewildered.
