I remember this film being on my downloaded section on Netflix for far too long before I actually watched it. And how do I feel 10 minutes after watching this art piece?......shocked , speechless and almost paralyzed. Don't you just love it when you're about to go on a journey whilst you're unsure on wether you'll enjoy the ride or not? Well thank God I hopped on this one and trust me, I do not regret riding on this rollercoaster. I don't even know where to begin- I'm sure those who have already watched this film thought that they were going to watch a black version of The Notebook or something- well to be honest I did at first. Fortunately, I was way off. This is yet, another one of Perry's gems where we get to to be enchanted by the blues, fall in love with the characters, bite our nails because of our nerves and of course- shed a few tears...it's just that beautiful. This tale had a way of hitting spots I didn't know hurt. The concentration of this movie wasn't solely upon the forbidden love between the main characters, but Perry exposed certain truths that are not really talked about in our society. I hope most of us are already familiar with issues regarding racism, classism but topics like family ties and the beautiful-tragic art of "letting go" is something we don't engage in often. These complexities (and more revealed in the film) have struck me and left me thinking a lot about life and my life, especially the people that I invite into it... Clearly I can ramble on and on but to save you some time- I will not be doing that. Instead, take my advice and get yourself some popcorn or wine (and some tissues). Remember to hold on tight and let Tyler Perry's Jazzman's Blues take you on a journey you will not forget.

So I watched this film a few months ago but somehow I still find myself thinking about it. Not only did this film expose the talented Amma Asante who directed and co-wrote "Where Hands Touch", but also the amazing hidden talents of the actors. Amandla Stenberg did a superb job in this film playing Leyna and in my opinion, I feel that this may be her best work yet. However, the person who really got my attention was George Mackay who plays Lutz in the film. It's not every day that you root for a Nazi but in this case, I did...actually I didn't... I rooted for Lutz's love for Leyna. Every emotion that Lutz conveyed was carefully and wonderfully expressed by Mackay's face. Every scene of that film encapsulated the inner conflict of identity that was perfectly conveyed by these young actors. Please, do yourself a favour and watch this film...and make sure to have a box of tissues next to you

Absolutely enjoyed this piece of artwork. It truly exposed the human condition especially in moments where pain is overcome by desperate love-making. I never understood the stories behind the adulterer aka "side-dishes"/ "homewreckers" etc. Although I don't support their actions, you can't help but low-key wish the two main leads somehow "lived happily ever after"...wow... humans. How explainable yet so unexplainable we are... this film uncaps our need to escape our dark realities which is why the ending is absolutely key. In all honesty, it was good that the two "lovers" didn't end up together: why? Firstly, they weren't each other's realities but form of escape and secondly, they were both hurt people unhealed from their current hurt relationships...because of where they were in life, they barely knew themselves so how would they fully know each other? Which is why i appreciated thiese lines from the movie - " i just wanted us to talk" -"talk about what?" They had nothing to talk about. All they did and could do was temporarily heal each other's pain through the entanglement of their bodies. No matter how much she smoked or how much he tried being the gaurdian of his family...they both needed something stronger, more tangible, more real. Something special and hidden. By watching this film, you'll truly get to discover what we know are secrets found in A Man and A Woman. I hope you enjoy.

After watching every episode from this serie, there's nothing more I'd want to do in life than to book myself a plane ticket to South Korea...and eat!😋❤

Never have I ever shook my head repeatedly like I'm a mad chicken. Ever! To say and to write about how mind-blowing this piece of art is, will forever be an understatement. Vincenzo is it for me. The actors are it for me. The director is it for me. The camera shots and angles are it for me. The cinematography is it for me. The scriptwriters!!! they are it for me. I could cry, no wait I am already. What did I just watch?! How does watching events from the screen find its way to make me feel sad then laugh uncontrollably then feel inspired all at once...It's too bad we live in a world where people don't give art a chance to finish its sentence. I remember watching the 1st episode of Vincenzo and thinking "ooh Song Joonki is back babyyy!!!". Episode 2: "okay I don't know where this is going but to be honest it's lowkey boring, but Song Joonki doe..".....2 weeks later "Oh I forgot about this show, shem let me give it a try" and that's when, ladies and gentleman, on episode 3 I started to say "huh, I did not expect that, this show is not too bad"....little did I know. Thank God for art that takes its time. Thank God for art that doesn't feel the need to be in a rush. Thank God for art that isn't so loud in the beginning so that the whole world can notice its beauty then forget about it along the way as it loses its energy... This piece of art created by undescribable minds is beyond entertainment. You can tell I'm very inspired at the moment. I'm just so grateful to have not given up so soon because I wouldn't have met characters of this show that make my day, that are starting to really grow on me and I wouldn't feel so inspired by their acting. It's true! Each episode just gets better and better, the energy never drops, the plot is never stable and I just keep loving it...I be praying too and be like "GOD! Look at your work! Do you see these people's minds? Did You see how specific that look or mannerism or gesture was? God I pray my future directors and scriptwriters are close to being this good!" Honestly, this piece of art and every element that is incorporated is beyond awards..if you're like me and enjoy the world of filmography. Go be inspired. Go onto Netflix right now. Go watch Vincenzo.
