the movie was great. just a breath of fresh air when it comes to a star studded black cast.

I have a friend who said that we watched this in school on multiple occasions, but for the life of me can't remember a single time! So I watched it tonight and I am in freaking shock. This movie was brutal, beautiful, gory and engaging. I loved it. I cried way too many times and almost had a fight with my TV over some of the characters and the way they were behaving. I just have an overwhelming amount of emotions from this movie and I gotta say... WHAT CLASS WOULD HAVE THIS MOVIE PLAYED AS PART OF THE CURRICULUM?!?!

This movie was cute but as I have said before in many of my movie reviews, it lacks originality. It was refreshing to see Asian stars in what seems to be an American movie, but been there, seen that.

To start off I'd like to say that the vulgarity of this movie was ... NOT an issue. I don't understand why people are complaining about that. However, the actual story was "Basic" (yes I meant to capitalize the 'B'). You just knew every step of the way what the outcome of the situation would be. IMO it was a story that has been told in many different ways in many different movies. Characters were fun, but that's it. Originality has came to a screeching halt since 2009, and this was a prime example of that.
