As an original high school musical mega-fan, I was super against this new show that I thought was supposed to carry on to be the new generation. And while it is the new generation, it's not supposed to be a show about high school musical "characters." The new characters put on a production of high school musical and the show has many parallels to the movie but it isn't about carrying on the amazing trilogy. I watched the show hesitantly (honestly to see how bad it would be) but after the first episode I was absolutely hooked! I waited patiently each week and looked forward to Friday's when Disney Plus released a new episode until a total of ten. Each episode grabs your attention and makes you totally connect with the characters. All of this to say, while I don't personally like the new Disney Channel, Disney plus definitely did not disappoint and provided my new favorite show (hsmtmts). The show is great and so are the actors! Definitely recommend and I cannot wait for season two and hopefully many more!!
