The near-real characters showcased the advanced digital technology of this age. Quite impressive! I was simply immersed in the realistic environment while watching the movie. However, I very much missed the vivid colors, faster animated movements and many funny moments that defined the animated version (I.e., the “I can’t wait to be King” song sequence, Timon and Pumba’s antics, etc). I found myself watching the animated version over and over (and enjoyed it more and more) after I watched the remake. I don’t think I will purchase this new movie. I am quite satisfied with the animated version I already have.
