Amitabh Bachan once said that if Dilip Kumar didn't get the best actor award for this movie then no actor should complain when they don't get the award for the work they deserve

One of the best serials ever. Actors have done their work excellently. All of them were magnificent, but the core of the serial were Behlul, Bhiter and Mrs Firdaus.
