Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and Smiley's People, both staring Alec Guinness, are the best limited series I have ever seen. Please watch the original from 1979. The hero, George Smiley, in England, has to find a 'mole' (spy) who is betraying his country to help a foreign power. Smiley works for the Circus (read CIA) where things begin to go very wrong indeed. You must watch this in order--Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy comes FIRST, Smiley's People second. You are led in a twisted path and it is worth every minute.
