Movie Review: “Blinded by the Light”. Those who know me also know the influence that the music, lyrics, performance, and what I know of the person, that Bruce Springsteen has been in my life. If you don’t, seeing this movie may explain it. This is a three level review. This movie captures many of the ways that his music has lifted me since melding into my DNA from my first show until today. The movie also brings to life the uplifting, liberating, life affirming power of the right art, artist, music, person when they enter a person’s life at the right time, in the right place. While I’m very biased, I think the movie is an inspirational coming of age story that many can appreciate on several levels, including foreigners navigating their way in a society that is sometimes less than welcoming, children and parents and the clash of cultures. See it in the theater if you can ... the music rocks!!!
