The last two episodes have been very good.

Surprisingly well paced. Exciting and well acted. The science is light and verges on science fantasy. I enjoyed episode 4, 7 and 8 the most. The first episode is just a bit rocky with how it balances introductions of numerous characters and the alien artifact. After episode one the show locks into everything making it intriguing and doubles down on conflict and crisis to drive the story. Looking forward to season: 2.
