When games of movies get roasted again for being bad, I'll give people this movie of a game movie done right - DQ:YS retells the story of Dragon Quest V in a condensed but still-charming remake of the original. While it isn't in the harsher and familiar anime style of Akira Toriyama, the CG animated graphics are perfect enough to make me question if Toriyama's art style is good for the game franchise's future. Story is spot-on as usual, all the good bits are there and done brilliantly with a nod to both choices (you'll see when you watch it). Last bit is a nice plot twist that serves as a love letter to fans of the series, but might pull others out of it. Overall a fantastic movie.
