Ruined too many characters from the books: Tam has a heron marked sword, but can’t handle a single Trollock. Mat is a thief and his father is a miserable person. The blood of Manethren evidently missed all of the men. AES Sedai apparently can’t stop a few White cloaks from burning them at the stake even though they can’t be shielded by them. Perrin has a wife that he kills during a battle rage before even beginning the journey that changes the characters in the books. This is all early in the first episode and things keep changing for the worse if you are a true fan of the books. This is similar to the attempt to bring Sword of Truth to TV or early attempts at Lord of the Rings
