My kinda movie. It's got it all going for it. This is the one to watch.

I was so eager to watch this movie. I love Tom Hanks and it seems like a wonderful idea for a movie. But unfortunately the screenplay butchered the book. The book was a delight! I saw the movie right after I read the book and all the time Hanks is a pleasure and the girl Johanna was a very good actor as well. But it would have been a much better movie if they would have just followed the book because the book had a much better storyline. I understand why they changed the ending around to be with more normal tastes but it was not the way it was in the book and therefore it is a big disappointment. Especially feel bad for Tom Hanks. I mean I'm giving it three stars only because of the young actor. She carried the movie if it could be carried at all. Why do they have to change around the book so damn much. I mean there was so much more to the bug and it could have been so much more factual. Once again pretty lame.
