I really loved this movie. I also see it like an alternate universe rather then a reboot or cannon. In the first episode ash did see ho-oh fly over the rainbow. Heck he tells professor oak and he told him to stop talking such nonsense. trainers have spent their lifes looking with no avail. But in this version ho-oh dropped a feather changing his course in life. Hence no brock or misty. Similar enough characters but new universe.
