Very intimate and fresh look into a girl growing up in the industry. Billie and her brother Finneas are extremely talented, it's very inspiring to see that evolve naturally. This was a very intimate film into a family's life. I just love the father's perspective on the nature of society, he just seems so aware. In his 'monologue' he talks about being parents and letting your children go into the world, how controling parenting doesn't set them up for real life, I really enjoyed hearing him talk. He's insightful, I could listen him talk all day on a podcast. Billie's mom is selfless, always there for her during touring because she knows how stressful this can be for a growing kid in this competitive industry. She supportive of Billie's decisions even if she thinks it won't be well-received by the public. Like the more dark songs. It was really refreshing to see this realness, vulnerability in Billie, I relate to the sadness in her eyes, it made me really see her as a regular person dealing with mental health and more. You can feel the emotions in the songs she does. I especially enjoyed seeing the relationship between Finneas and Billie, how the stress of the industry doesn't affect their relationship is beautiful. They understand eachothers flaws and work with it. Absolutely no judgement between any of them. I also love how goofy and silly they were with eachother and continue too as adults, real & wholesome siblings (who make cosmic good music). You can tell their on the same wavelength. Finneas also being older, he definitely looks out & is patient with her. I could really feel love between the whole family. Whoever edited this film 👌👌👌. I was interested and hooked the entire time, no slow pacing, no fast pacing, just the right amount that felt fit for this type of storytelling. Overall really eye-opening into someone who made it big in the music industry, who is genuinely grounded & humble to where she is. Felt like a documentary about a girl & her loving family who also happen to make music. This has made me appreciate & understand her music on a whole different level.
