It setup an interesting premise in first 30mins but the movie didn't go anywhere until the last 30mins. The hour in between was just Varun looking at Afza with a Hindi song playing in the background again and again.
Spoiler:
There was no background given as to why Varun would fall in love with a scary 'Ghost' in the first place. And the scene where all the priests ganged up felt like a setup for a backstory on why they were so terrified but it just abruptly and went to the climax. The climax was supposed to be be a women empowerment metaphor but it felt too forced and inorganic. Couldn't Roohi have married the guy, get released from the ghost and broken off the wedding after? Wouldn't that be the actual empowerment? That you don't have to stay in a forced marriage if you don't like it?
