This film exceeded my expectations. Following the lack luster that was Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey not only offered action, violence, and sex appeal, it offered true characterizations. The violence, humor, and wit took what could have been another boring superhero flick to the next level. The idea of sisterhood coming together for a common goal through the movies many action sequences blended seamlessly with the internal character conflicts showcased from start to finish. We got to view Harley in a new light. No longer is she the childish side piece to the Joker, but a strong, vibrant woman with hell in her back pocket. Long live Harley Quinn.
