I LOVED THIS FILM!!! Maybe be my favourite one actually... I found it captivating with beautiful camera work, there were a few scenes that were just so beautifully shot and really powerful! The actors, especially Pierre Niney, I thought did an amazing job, it was very satisfying to watch them play. I saw a few reviews saying the movie was flat, which I disagree, I felt a lot different ranges of emotions, the tension between Monte Cristo and Mercedes when they talked in that garden inside the house, the eye contact was just so powerful and I could really feel the emotions of sadness, regret, anger, pleading, disappointment... Another scene that caused me to literally clench my teeth and be tense as I watched in the cinema, was the sword fight at the end. Maybe it was just my own opinion, but I usually don't like to watch fight scenes, but this one was truly amazing, with so much emotion and I was kept wondering what would happen next. (People might disagree, but I thought it was a really well made scene) Lastly, this movie made me cry at the end, again, the emotion between Mercedes and Monte Cristo throughout the entire movie was just so so gorgeous yet bittersweet and pulled on your heart strings. Overall, I sincerely enjoyed this movie, onc again Pierre Niney was fantastic and now I want to give it watch again!!! 🤍

THIS MAY JUST BE MY FAVOURITE DISNEY 3D STYLE MOVIE EVER!!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! As a classical musician I really appreciate the music, it was really well done and thought about! The songs are very catchy and unique! Disney really managed to bring Colombian culture into the entire film! And when you can not pick a favourite character because you loved everyone single one of them, you know that this was an incredible movie! I also really love the plot! There wasn't the usual "baddie" and that made the whole story so much more interesting and special! I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAH IT WAS SOO GOOD!!! PLEASE WE NEED A FOLLOW UP SERIES THAT EXPLORES EACH CHARACTER EVEN MORE IN DEPTH!! 2021 was a good year for Disney. Both this movie along with Luca were just amazing!
