This book was absolutely amazing. I was engaged at every point and I never wanted to put it down. Mark Oshiro’s representation of mental health issues, lgbtqia+ people and their struggles, and overall diversity is amazing. As a young, lesbian black girl I strongly relate to Moss (the main character). This book feels especially important because of what’s going on in the world right now. This could be a very eye-opening book for people, people who deny the horrid experience of a black person in America, and as a person of color in America. I think it’d be be good to show people just how much their words and actions affect us. To show people the reality of “another hashtag”. This book was an amazing experience and I 100% recommend it.
