I actually thought this was pretty good. I thought it was a fairly honest representation of the lives that some folks live. In fact, I could see a lot of my childhood in this even though I grew up in Portland Oregon. I don't think drug addiction and spousal/child abuse is ever specific to any geographical area. There's a lot here to relate to. It was well acted, it was well directed and it was a story with a beginning, middle and end. Not a lot of "smell the fart" acting in this one and that was refreshing.
