This film is like a legend at heart. A tale of one power-hungry man, stripped of his power by a god. Determined to destroy said god, this individual pits the smartest man versus him. A great tale of loss, hate, and power, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition can please almost everyone, though long and unnecessary at times.
The only drawback I see here is the infamous Theatrical Cut. This version of the film is as terrible as the media says. It strips away most of Superman's lines and scenes. He is half the title, and yet in a 2 hour and 31-minute movie, has about 40 lines. The Ultimate Edition, however, is a 3 hour and 3-minute movie, determined to tell its amazing story from start to finish. Unfortunately, the Extended Cut (Ultimate Edition) is only available through Blu-ray and the Cineplex Store. The Theatrical Cut is available on DVD.
A mess at times, BvS Extended Cut is truly an epic film. Though visibly not the best DCEU entry, still a worthy one, and a tale we all ought to see.
