Make no mistake, this is a disturbing film of revenge on a group of young men for their rape of a young drunk woman. The past catches up on them in a dramatic conclusion. It is a relatively short movie, brilliantly scripted and acted and perhaps every man should watch it and consider what their futures are worth. If you look at it as a good triumphs over evil perspective you can enjoy it. If you are into forgiveness for horrible crimes it isn't for you.

It is a deeply disturbing story but one that needed to be told. America and allies involvements escalated after 911 destruction of the World Trade Centre towers. It was a horrifying moment in time that many remember and it put a lot of fear and pressure on military involvement and local agencies to track down any threats. There were many failures in these processes and little justice for some unfortunates as the story goes. It is not a feel good movie but let's hope that any targets of future conflicts are correctly identified. Let's expect more from agencies to present their evidence and not lock up people without charges in some remote place without any accountability to law as this guy got locked up for a very long stretch and was never charged with a crime. It puts a despicable taint on American justice. Well acted and and commendable to bring such a movie to audiences, however unsettling.

A bold venture and intriguing character who would wish to do such a thing, especially on your own to cross a barren desert with animals and very little support. It's a triumph or a fluke to succeed. Large and lonely spaces. Yes this is Australia. Vast, unforgiving and beautiful. Overall enjoyable but I feel the dialogue where it exists is mumbled and muddy. If you're going to say it say it. Almost needs subtitles and yet this is my language. Yes Aussies can be like that but a movie requires a more communicative approach than reality.
