Joe Graben

This is a very poor adaptation of Asimov's seminal work. Outside of using some of the names and a few of the plot points and the idea of a mathematics that can be used to predict large scale future events, this adaptation has very little else in common with the books. If viewed on its own, separate from the source material, the series is okay (3 stars). Cast and acting are very good and special effects and CGI are done well. The idea of a genetic dynasty based on cloning is interesting - but this was not part of the books, nor a robot character - a major flaw as Asimov deliberately excluded robots from the majority of foundation series. If they had but tried to remain as faithful to the source material as the latest version of Dune and the Peter Jackson LOTR, they might have achieved the same greatness.
