Watch the film with open eyes, an open heart and enjoy it for what it is, the end of an unheard of 9-movie saga that began with arguably the best movie trilogy ever ... and when the audience called for more, the next 3 could not live up to the hype. Do not expect Academy Award worthy plots, live for the moment as our heroes do. We have lived and died with them for over 40 years, lets enjoy the last of them with pride, not indigent consternation.
Society is so quick to dismiss this movie, tearing into it as if each and everyone could do better if they had the chance. We are in such a harsh world that few try to see the joy that this movie brings to audiences. Rather they spew their ill-conceived, bitter and at times condescending opinion with such arrogance as to make one feel bad for enjoying the movie just a little. The movie is wonderful if you allow it to be. Or you can be that know-it-all, smug fool that feels dissecting it, and imparting their small opinion into it will bring some form of joy.
