i really like this show. the actors are tremendous. the storyline is good, not great BUT it improves with every episode and i think it has real promise. don’t believe the “it’s just another this is us” reviews. these characters are not self righteous, sophmoric, spoiled brats whining about every aspect of their lives they don’t find accommodating and blaming the world for making it so... personally, i can’t become emotionally invested in characters like that - i want them to fail. rather, the brilliantly assembled ensemble of a million little things are falliable but refreshingly accountable for their short comings and misdeeds. as someone trying her very best to navigate life as the best version of herself while understanding that means copping to mistakes, I find it highly relatable and entertaining.
