This film is unrealistic and unentertaining. When writing a film involving the legal system a writer should know what they're talking about. Nothing about the lawyers, public defender's office, or court made sense. I laughed at the opening statements, as well as the "objections" that didn't make sense. What kind of lawyer tells a client that the DA's office is offering life without parole and that they should take that deal? I'm not sure who Tyler Perry was supposed to be in the film but his character was like a cheap knock-off of Janet Jackson's character in "For Colored Girls" I don't like seeing polished actors like Phylicia Rashad, Cicely Tyson, and Mehcad Brooks in poorly written, poorly directed, and poorly plotted films. The husband was able to rob the wife of more than half a million dollars, have sex with a woman in their bed after kicking her out the room and she's suffering like it's ok? This is the dumbest stuff I've ever seen.
