The actors were all on point in this movie, the editing and directing kept the flow moving forward. I can't believe it is 18 years old and I am only now seeing it streaming. The time taken to tell the story is well used. I'll be revisiting it often.

Read this book as a kid and it has stuck with me throughout the years as a simple believable story of a sport few understand.
Bought a copy of it again a few years back to read while on a trip. Still great read!

As the writer and director of a fauxtoon noir film, I was pleasantly relieved to hear Mr. Lynch say, "There are no rules, ladies, and gentlemen, there are NO rules."

I think about this movie as I do with all Kubrick projects, the writer is the actual hero here. Also the writers usually didn't like Kubrick's bastardizations and finally, re-releasing this in 4k is a good way to identify gullible people.
That covers it.
