An excellent show written by Shawn Ryan, The Shield is set up around a fictional town in LA County, Farmington and revolves around a detective Vic Mackey (played brilliantly by Michael Chiklis) and his Strike team, who's corrupt, but also effective at the moment. After binge-watching it during lockdown, I continued watching it again and again because this show is clearly an obsession. The way the episodes have been directed clearly convey to audience that they are actually watching a "real-time" law and order sitcom.
