TLDR: 3 stars, itโs entertaining and has its moments but nothing special.
Its alright. Browns acting is fantastic, everyone else is fine. Dragon looks good, rest of it looks fake. The storyโs good, I appreciate the lower stakes than most films nowadays. I liked some of the cinematography, especially in the cave. I couldnโt predict everything that happened but most of what happened made sense. What lets it down is the stupid script. The consequences of the writers strike continues! The dialogue is boring and basic, things that are obvious if you are actually looking at the screen is spoken out loud unnecessarily. The names of the characters are unique and not in a good way. This is all fine but then you get the last act. What the actual hell? This is when I realised how weird the makeup is. Why is the fantasy princess got a smokey eye? I wouldnโt say Millie Bobby Brown has an iPhone face but the makeup made her look the a instagram model. How the hell her dress transformed into whatever she was wearing at the end I don't really understand, and oh my god at the end Brown with modern makeup and wearing a fire dragon princess mini dress in a fake green screen fantasy castle was stupid. And when the DRAGON CAME AND TEAMED UP WITH HER? The image of it flying behind her was hilarious, really it was like bad booktok writers wrote it. Other than that most of everything in the cave was really entertaining and tense, and then at the end you can have a laugh.

Iโm not sure why people are saying itโs obviously staged, I suppose some of the close ups are too perfect, but the actors definitely know where the cameras are and will try to position the victims in a good place. Also the reactions feel very real.
Really funny show, the teddy bear episode was the best. Had my whole family in tears

I love this series so much, itโs inspired me so much. I listened to the audio book when I was about 10 or 11 after my dad recommended it. Itโs still one of my favourite book series now.
A great way to get introduced to fantasy.

A fun, slightly bittersweet story. Great for mystery. Good choice for schools. I would recommend it for 12 years and up. I really wanna know what happened to the cat though???

A great book! We read it at school and it was thoroughly enjoyable! Most people saying it wasn't good or complaining about children reading it just hate it for being LGBTQ+. I would say 9+? Because by then you know pretty much everything that is talked about in the book, (Yes, most nine-year-olds know what porn is). I also appreciate that the call Melissa 'she' throughout the book. Overall a great book for children and adults alike to learn about trans people!

It's a good show- the CGI doesn't impress me in this day and age but that's to be expected. It's rated 15 but my 10-year-old sister loves it. The last season is.... meh, but overall a good show.
