...this is a hot mess...this wasn’t supposed to be a Talent show, per se...all of the contestants are pretty established talents known where they’re from...this was to be World’s Best...which would imply non-subjective judging of talent, technique, etc...but it’s ridiculous to pit child against adult, (sympathy voting, experience versus ingenue) singers versus acrobats, instrumentalists versus martial arts, etc...they were looking for shock value and ended up with a mess...the awarded title is meaningless...judging is subjective, by panelists that aren’t expert in each field so cannot recognize or adequately critique the various techniques and expertise that is being achieved/used by each genre of act, etc...Not a fan at all...just watching for Dimash Kudaibergen, one of the greatest vocalists in generations, and even that is heartbreaking with the way they’ve chopped his performances...disrespectful and outrageous...can’t guess how they’ve distorted other acts as well...thumbs down, CBS...pull your hot mess together and let it go after this season...literally a circus which I’m sure more than one act is rueing...the positives are that 1. Dimash and a few others got some American exposure, and most importantly, 2. the US was exposed to talents like Dimash!...
