Dated and harmful. A misused potential.

Love the casting, love the chemistry, love the soundtrack and loved the actual story but the movie is not at all well directed. It had an amazing story but somehow they have managed to mess that up and as a result the movie is an utter disappointment. It was one of the most anticipated movies of 2019 but it has turned out to be quite a failure. The script could have been way better. It seems rushed and so the there is an utter lack of character development of the protagonists. They have added a lot of extra scenes which were unnecessary and did not really help the story. Yes, they were cute to watch but I would rather have the characters talk and interact with others and themselves much more than that. I love Anna but it seems that she somehow for some reason lacked the passion this time that she had while writing those amazing books. I get the fact that they tried to make the movie for the new people as well but even then the movie doesn't seem great. They could have an amazing job with such a good casting and story. I am upset and disappointed to see such a beautiful story turned into something so cliche and predictable. I can only hope that AWC wouldn't be such a disappointment and they would pay more attention to what we, the readers want as well. It has the potential of becoming one of the best romantic movies of all time.
