Mysteries solved like traditional detective shows with an added serial drama of the character's personal lives and problems. Sharon Small playing the part of Barbara Havers is spectacular. I don't personally like the serial drama running from episode to episode but it seems to be the way things have gone today. It is no Poirot but nothing today is.
